Nixalite
is...
A stainless steel needle strip that once installed will control pest
birds and climbing animals on almost any structure or surface. This
common sense control is a direct and humane solution to pest bird
problems.
How
does it work?
Nixalite's impenetrable array of sharp pointed, spring temper stainless
steel wires present an intimidating physical barrier to the birds. When
installed properly, the Nixalite protects the surface with a battery of
sharp points that remind the birds that this spot is off limits.
Won't
it hurt the birds?
No. Nixalite is approved by the U.S. Humane Society and leading bird
societies. It is a non-toxic, physical barrier that cleanly and quietly
controls pest birds and climbing animals.
Is
it difficult to install?
No. Nixalite has been successfully installed on all kinds of shapes and
surface materials. No special tools are needed. Common sense and a
little planning before the installation can make the Nixalite
installation a smooth process.
How
will it look?
The thin wires of Nixalite are almost invisible at normal viewing
distances. With the color powder coating option the Nixalite strips can
be difficult to see even at close range.

Nixalite requires no upkeep itself and can sharply reduce the cost and
frequency of exterior maintenance. Many Nixalite users have reported
cost recovery within a few years, in addition to a cleaner and healthier
environment.

Laying
Out the Installation

1.
Make sure the surface is clean, dry and ready for the
installation. See Cleaning the surfaces
before continuing.
2. With a
straight edge or chalk line, mark the installation surface where
the Nixalite base strip(s) will be positioned. |
|
|
3.
Nixalite's supplied mounting hardware is positioned 7/8"
(2.2cm) to the inside of the base strip line. Measure the
7/8" (2.2cm) in from the base strip and mark a line for the
mounting hardware. Always mark the hardware line on the side
furthest from the outside edge of the installation surface. |
|
|
4. Use
the Mounting Hardware Spacing Chart to determine the proper
spacing for the supplied Mounting Hardware. Mark each mounting
hardware unit location along the hardware line. |
|
|
When
the Nixalite and hardware positions are marked, you're ready to
install the mounting hardware. |

refuse have been removed. Effectiveness against 108 different
disease causing bacteria, yeasts and molds. A broad spectrum,
hospital grade disinfectant, Microcide SQ has EPA, USDA and OSHA
approval. The self-measuring container makes proper mixing easy. |
Uses:
Use as a surface and object cleaner, disinfectant, detergent, fungicide,
bactericide, virucide, mildew stat and deodorizer. Microcide SQ kills
many of the harmful bacteria often found in bird droppings, nests and
related refuse. Use to sanitize surfaces before installing a bird
control system. Use to sanitize and deodorize fabrics and clothing.

Sanitize Bird Control
Installation Surfaces
Microcide SQ can be used to sanitize and deodorize surface before
proceeding with the bird control installation. Spray Microcide SQ on all
installation surfaces, making sure that everything is completely wetted.
Keep wetted for at least 10 minutes. For best results, wash and retreat
the surface.
NOTE: Microcide SQ
coverage will depend on the surface texture and porosity and the
strength at which the solution is mixed with water.
CAUTION: When
working around or cleaning up bird and animal wastes, wear a minimum of
eye protection, respiratory protection, disposable gloves and clothing.
Heavy accumulations of bird waste (especially in enclosed areas) can
present a serious health threat.
As a bactericide,
mildewcide, fungicide;
Treat gross filth to neutralize, clean surface and retreat using the
following procedures. Spray all articles and surfaces until thoroughly
dampened and allow to remain wet for at least 10 minutes.
To sanitize and
deodorize:
Spray on all inanimate surfaces until thoroughly dampened and allow to
remain wet for at least 10 minutes.
